Inactive icons in the notification area are automatically hidden.

To disable this feature:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following command and press Enter:

REG ADD HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer /V EnableAutoTray /T REG_DWORD /F /D 0

3. Log off and log on to activate this setting.

NOTE: To hide the inactive icons, use:

REG ADD HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer /V EnableAutoTray /T REG_DWORD /F /D 1
