Send Both Vibrations and Visual Notification Intervals to Microsoft Band
A new app for Microsoft Band is an interval time for workouts.
June 28, 2016
When Band 1 first released and even into the second device iteration, there were regular releases of new apps designed to take advantage of the Microsoft Band functionality. These days, for whatever reason, the Band app market has just dried up. Most developers will tell you that the Band SDK is the problem. It just doesn’t expose the sensors completely or in the right ways.
So, it’s great to see a new app show up, particularly when a developer works around potential SDK limitations to provide something unique and of value.
This latest app is an interval timer, but with a twist. Called Countdown Interval Timer the app runs on Windows 10 Mobile and delivers vibrations and visual notifications, serving to provide alerts for Tabata workouts and high intensity interval training.
The download is a free trial that never expires, but you can pay .99 as a support donation.
You can grab it from the Windows 10 store: Countdown Interval Timer
