Emily Chappell Taking Microsoft Band Along for the Transcontinental Race

Despite the promo video shown as being posted in December of 2015, Microsoft marketing has recently just announced a new athlete that the Microsoft Band team is following. Emily Chappell, a writer and cyclist, will be attempting to finish the Transcontinental Race. The Transcontinental Race is a 300 kilometer (about 186 miles) a day ride that lasts for two weeks. The race path starts in Belgium and ends in Canakkale, Turkey.

At 20 hours of riding a day, it’ll be interesting to hear how well the Microsoft Band’s battery holds up, or how Emily plans to keep it charged, considering it can only get about 6 hours tops with Battery Saver Mode enabled.
