Fast HTTP Auth Scanner lets you scan a range of addresses and ports looking for HTTP-enabled devices where those devices can be tested for strength in authentication.

Andres Tarasco developed the tool and offers it both in binary and source code formats. You can download a copy of Fast HTTP Auth Scanner at his Web site, and view the English version of the README file for details on how it works.

Tarasco said the tool is especially useful for testing devices, such as routers. As such the tool includes a command line switch that makes the tool ignore known Web servers, such as IIS and Apache.
