When you use the Windows Server 2003 Certification Authority (CA) MMC snap-in to submit a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) to an enterprise CA, you receive:

Certificate Request Processor

The request contains no certificate template information. 0x80094801 (-2146875391)
Denied by Policy Module 0x80094801, the request does not contain a certificate template extension or the Certificate Template request attribute.

You have no option to select a certificate template.

NOTE: This only occurs with a request to an enterprise CA, as a standalone CA does not use certificate templates.

To workaround this behavior, use an alternate method to request a certificate from an enterprise CA.
