If you remove the network cable while Windows XP is entering standby or hibernation, the IBM Tivoli Endpoint client causes the system time to freeze until the computer is reactivated.

NOTE: This behavior only happens when IBM Tivoli Endpoint is running and the network adapter is active.

NOTE: This does NOT happen if you pull the cable after the computer is fully on standby or in hibernation.

NOTE: This behavior will also occur on Windows Server 2003.

This behavior occurs because one of the network adapter drivers does not respond quickly enough to a power I/O request during a suspend query.

To workaround this problem behavior, wait at least 15 seconds before you pull the network cable after your computer goes on standby or hibernates.
