Q: I have a storage account configured as geo-redundant; can I change it to zone redundant?
A: There is no way to convert a geo-redundant storage account to a zone-redundant storage account. One option would be to create a new zone-redundant storage account and then transfer the data over using an Azure-side asynchronous copy method, which means the data isn't sent between storage accounts via your machine; instead, the data transfer stays in Azure. For deails on Azure-side storage copy operations, see "Network Traffic Costs for Server-Side Azure Storage Move."
