Like all of Penton Technology, Windows IT Pro is evolving with the times.
The Microsoft ecosystem will always be the key driver of our coverage, bolstered by in depth how-to content by experts among you. We’ve also been broadening our coverage of the MS partners and competitors in the enterprise arena, introducing new authors focused on hot topics like Security, adding new eLearning classes and instructors, and making our events more compelling to a growing audience of IT professionals. That’s partly due to your changing information needs and the recent acquisition we made of iNET Interactive, whose sites, newsletters and forums include Data Center Knowledge and The WHIR, and tech consumer-focused Windows Secrets, Overclockers and MacForums. Penton Technology now reaches more than 2.8 million IT and Channel professionals and ProSumers. Read more about the iNET Interactive acquisition and Penton Technology.
To help lead the charge Rod Trent is taking over as Windows IT Pro's Content Director now as we hire new staff and Lisa Schmeiser is moving over as the new Content Director for SuperSite for Windows.
Trent has been a long time Penton Technology content team leader who has worn several hats and still does. He founded myITforum, and manages it today. In fact in the coming weeks you’ll see us relaunch myITforum with a brand new design, features and integrated content from all of our IT properties. He also serves as content chair for our IT/Dev Connections/Executive Insights conference, which is coming up in September in Las Vegas. Trent, who also serves as Penton Technology's Engagement Director, has been working closely on Windows IT Pro and Windows SuperSite with Schmeiser.
This is an extraordinary time for Penton Technology. We are growing rapidly, hiring new staff, and revamping our content strategy to serve your ever changing need for information, insights, research and expert how-to content. We’re expanding our eLearning and events too. That’s also due to the recent acquisition we made of iNET Interactive, whose sites, newsletters and forums include Data Center Knowledge and The WHIR, and tech consumer-focused Windows Secrets, Overclockers and MacForums. Penton Technology now reaches more than 2.8 million IT and Channel professionals and ProSumers. Read more about the iNET Interactive acquisition and Penton Technology.
Trent will continue to work closely with me and Windows SuperSite Content Director Lisa Schmeiser as we roll out ambitious new plans for our IT pro and ProSumer properties. We’ll keep you posted and we want to hear from you. We’ll be reaching out to you in the coming weeks to solicit your feedback and ideas. You can reach me at [email protected] and Trent at [email protected].
