If you're using an older version of Microsoft ActiveSync (or the even earlier Windows CE Services), get version 3.5. The new version, which ships with Pocket PC 2002 devices, offers better USB support, improved remote connectivity, easier configuration for server synchronization (with Microsoft Mobile Information Server--MIS), and better performance. ActiveSync 3.5 fixes some compatibility problems with Microsoft Outlook 2000 and Outlook 98 security updates and lets you use infrared (IR) to synchronize your device with Windows 2000 systems. The new version is available for free download here .
