HP's Compaq Evo thin-client series won the Readers' Choice award for Best Thin Client with 56 percent of the vote, which is double the number of votes cast for the nearest competitor. According to one reader, consistent support, cool looks, and good performance make the winning difference. The Compaq Evo T30 and Compaq Evo T20 provide simple, manageable, and secure solutions.

With speeds of 300MHz, the series supports Windows XP Embedded (XPe) with up to 256MB of Flash memory and 256MB of SDRAM memory, Windows CE .NET, or embedded Windows NT with Preboot Execution Environment (PXE). Options include a legacy-free platform that offers USB expandability or an innovative platform with USB expandability, legacy ports, and
PC Card support. HP recently released new thin-client models with more powerful performance and greater flexibility to replace the aging Evo series.
