Symantec Endpoint Protection Beta

Symantec released a beta of its upcoming Endpoint Protection product, billed as "the most significant update to Symantec's market-leading enterprise antivirus product in years."

The product includes antivirus and anti-spyware technology, behavioral-based protection against unknown (0-day) threats, and intrusion prevention that "blocks all new exploits of a vulnerability (including variants) with a single signature to improve detection and speed remediation." That last item sounds pretty intereseting.

You can download the beta at Symantec's site, but be aware that if you land on the page with Firefox it might turn up blank due to javascript errors, so use another browser.
