For gamers who don't have the space -- or desire -- to set up a dedicated battle station, there are now two new hardware options: the Lenovo IdeaCentre Y710 Cube and the Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO Y910.

Perhaps a gamer's dream is to have a large, dedicated space as their battle station; the reality is that a lot of people who love to game don't have the physical room for a large hardware set-up or they don't want to be tethered to one location. 

Citing the perk of portability, Lenovo announced two new desktop computers aimed at gaming on the go: the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube and IdeaCentre AIO Y910 desktop PCs. Here's what you should know about each.

THE IDEACENTRE Y710 CUBE

How big is it? The Y710 cube is 15.48" x 9.93" x 12.38" and it weighs about 16 pounds.

What's the processor? Up to 6th Generation Intel® CoreTM i7 Processor

How much memory does it have? How much storage does it have? The computer comes with up to 32 GB DDR4; as for storage, users can buy one that can go up to 2 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD.

What operating system is loaded on it? Windows 10. The machine also comes with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Silverlight pre-loaded on it.

Talk to me about connectivity -- can I bring this to LAN parties? The WLAN is Killer LAN / WiFi 10/100/1000M. It's got one HDMI connector and one VGA connector. There's one USB 2.0 port in the rear, one USB 3.0 port in the rear and 2 USB 3.0 ports in the front.

Any accessories? The Y710 comes with a Xbox OneTM Wireless Controller/Receiver, and users can buy a USB gaming keyboard or a USB gaming mouse.

What does this cost? The IdeaCentre Y710 Cube with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 starts at $1,299.99, available starting in October 2016.

 


THE IDEACENTRE AIO Y910 DESKTOP

How big is it? The Y710 cube is 9.35" x 24.24" x 19.3" and it weighs about 27 pounds.

What's the processor? Up to 6th Generation Intel® CoreTM i7 Processor

How much memory does it have? How much storage does it have? The computer comes with up to 32 GB DDR4; as for storage, users can buy one that can go up to 2 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD.

What operating system is loaded on it? Windows 10 Home. The machine also comes with Microsoft Office.
