Free eBook: Creating Mobile Apps with Xamarin.Forms

Just announced at Build 2016 during the Day 2 keynote, Xamarin (now owned by Microsoft) will be both free to Visual Studio developers and also released to open source.

Xamarin has been a very popular cross-platform tool, but for those that would like to get started, Microsoft Press is offering a free eBook titled: “Creating Mobile Apps with Xamarin.Forms.”

The eBook is currently only available in PDF (Adobe Reader) format, but Microsoft is promising EPUB and MOBI versions in the future. However, if you’re an Amazon customer who regularly reads eBooks using a Kindle device of any device that runs the Kindle app, you can send the PDF to your Kindle account. No need to wait for additional versions.

Who is the book for?  Microsoft says…

This book is for C# programmers who want to write applications using a single code base that targets the three most popular mobile platforms: iOS, Android, and Windows, encompassing the Universal Windows Platform and Windows Phone.
