Download the latest Cumulative Update for Windows

Q. How can I download the latest Cumulative Update for Windows Server?

A. Each month Microsoft releases a new Cumulative Update (CU) for their operating systems including Windows Server 2016. If you search for "November 2016 Cumulative Update Windows Server 2016" (as an example) you will have the KB article that describes the latest CU. It also includes a link to download it from the Microsoft Update Catalog, for example http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB3200970. From the catalog site you can download the MSU file for Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit). The MSU file can then be executed to install or the CAB extracted from the MSU which is used for most operations.
