DotNetNuke has released the latest version of its content-management system, DotNetNuke 6.1. In the new release, DotNetNuke has included new capabilities that make it fast and easy to deliver tailored online experiences for thousands of unique mobile devices.
The new release lets developers easily create, deploy, and manage a single version of their website. By leveraging adaptive rendering techniques like CSS and HTML5, websites are automatically tailored to the devices on which they’re viewed. In addition, DotNetNuke 6.1 makes it possible to redirect mobile users to landing pages optimized for their device, and provides an optimized menu that’s dynamically rendered based on the characteristics of the device.
DotNetNuke 6.1 includes a mobile content previewer that lets developers optimize the mobile experience of their websites without requiring physical access to mobile devices. The previewer supports Android, Apple iOS, Windows Phone 7, and BlackBerry devices, without leaving the DotNetNuke platform.
New to this release is a single sign-on (SSO) capability that helps simplify management of users across multiple websites. In addition, a simplified set of administration screens lets administrators set up and manage granular permissions for the same users across many sites.
DotNetNuke 6.1 is available in three versions: Community (free), Professional, and Enterprise. Pricing begins at $2,499 for an annual subscription of the Professional edition. For more information, visit the DotNetNuke website.
