A card is based on one of 40 standardized forms (e.g., Bank Account, Credit Card, Password, Web Site), in which you type your data into a series of predefined fields. You can download additional forms from DeveloperOne’s Web site, and to meet your unique storage needs, the software also lets you create custom card forms based on existing forms. You can import and export card data to and from text files, and you can attach files to cards. (For example, you might want to attach a summary of the keypad sequence for remotely controlling your voicemail.) A password protects each wallet, and each is further secured by the RC4 symmetric encryption algorithm, using a 128-bit key. Wallets automatically close after a user-defined period of inactivity, after which you must reenter the password to open them again.

Installing CodeWallet Pro is a snap. You can use Microsoft ActiveSync to install the software to your mobile device, or you can use compressed cabinet format (CAB) files for a direct download. After you install CodeWallet Pro on a mobile device and connect it to a desktop or laptop that has CodeWallet Pro Desktop Companion Edition installed, you can synchronize the wallets over your ActiveSync connection. You can configure rules that determine which source is authoritative when synchronization conflicts occur.

The company requires separate purchases for the product's PocketPC, Smartphone, and Desktop Companion editions, but discounts are available for bundles and upgrades from previous versions.
