Canon introduced three new digital camcorders: the ZR90, ZR85, and ZR80. The camcorders, designed to enhance the capability and affordability of video for entry-level users, pack advanced features into a compact design. The trio offers one of the longest optical zoom ranges in its class: 22x on the ZR90, 20x on the ZR85, and 18x on the ZR80.The End Search feature lets you locate the end of the last-recorded scene so that you don't accidentally record over previously shot footage. The camcorders use an image-stabilization system that instantly helps to correct camcorder shake; plus, a night-mode setting that lets you shoot video in low-light settings without sacrificing color. The ZR90 and ZR85 let you record and transfer still photos that you can email or print. The ZR series debuts in stores in March. The ZR90 costs $599, the ZR85 costs $499, and the ZR80 costs $399.
