Q. Can an edge server act as a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Outlook Web Access (OWA) and ActiveSync gateway?

A. No. An Edge Transport server only acts as a SMTP traffic interface. You can use Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 to publish any network-required Exchange OWA and EAS traffic. Take a look at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/isa/2006/deployment/exchange.mspx for more ISA Server 2006 and Exchange 2007 information.
