Here’s our review of some of this week’s noteworthy links for the data center industry:
Bazaarvoice Chooses Data Foundry for Infrastructure: Austin-based Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV), a global Software-as-a-Service provider, has selected Data Foundry's Texas 1 data center to house its core IT infrastructure. Bazaarvoice is a social software and data analytics company that helps its clients to create, syndicate and analyze online activity. With business booming internationally, the company needed to relocate their IT infrastructure into a data center that would provide consistent power and cooling, as well as room for additional growth. “We want the best for our company, and we are very pleased with our choice in Data Foundry and their new facility,” states Rich Robinson, VP of Business Technology at Bazaarvoice. “The Data Foundry team has been highly responsive and has exceeded our expectations. We take comfort in knowing that our core IT infrastructure is in good hands.”
FORTRUST selected by Ajubeo. FORTRUST announced that Ajubeo, a national provider of enterprise-class cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), has selected its Denver, Colorado data center for their high-density cloud computing colocation deployment. Factors leading to the selection of FORTRUST included its ability to accommodate Ajubeo's need for 17 kW per cabinet/rack, and its 100 percent uptime record. "The decision to deploy our Denver cloud hub at FORTRUST was obvious," commented Chuck Price, president and CEO of Ajubeo. "FORTRUST is the only data center in Denver built to handle power-dense offerings like Ajubeo's enterprise-class cloud infrastructure. FORTRUST has never experienced an outage and their commitment to security is evident immediately upon entering the facility. FORTRUST enables Ajubeo to provide an infrastructure-as-a-service platform that is second-to-none."
ViaWest selected by Zulahoo. ViaWest announced it has been selected by Zulahoo to provide on-demand cloud computing services with its KINECTed Cloud platform. Zulahoo is an Internet start-up community commerce portal focused on promoting secure and private collaboration services. Zulahoo selected ViaWest for its flexible virtual environment and personalized support. “ViaWest has made our relationship not just about the services they provide, but about the partnership they developed with our team,” states Jon Prichard, Chief Technology Officer of Zulahoo. “As we prepare to grow our company, the ability to scale on-demand was a top concern in selecting a hosting solution. ViaWest not only provides the training and tool sets to manage growth, but their superior level of customer support is at the foundation of their success. There are many options for cloud solutions in the marketplace but the level of interaction and support ViaWest provides ensures our needs are always top of mind.”
Interxion selected by Fifosys. Interxion (INXN) announced that Fifosys, an IT services provider, will deliver a range of cloud-based ‘as-a-service’ solutions from Interxion’s Cloud Hub in its London data center. Interxion’s ability to guarantee sub millisecond latency as well as direct connections to a large selection of carriers was a significant factor in its selection. “The primary concerns for our customers when moving their IT to the cloud are around reliability, security and performance," said Richard Palmer, Technical Services Manager at Fifosys. "Interxion’s guaranteed low-latency connections, combined with its broad range of carrier partnerships and robust secure infrastructure, ensures we can offer our customers peace of mind as they look to adopt our services. This partnership will play a vital role in enabling us to deliver everything from desktop as a service, through to online backup, with the guarantee of high service levels and the best possible uptime.”
