My laptop has become a bit unstable these days.  I'm thankful to have a new one on the way.  But in the meanwhile, I must put up with random lockups and reboots.

Because of the way I roam all over the Internet when I'm looking for information, I actually had nineteen open IE windows and four open Firefox windows when I had to reboot a few moments ago.  With all of those open windows and a fickle attitude from my laptop, I've had to keep a running log of all of my open URLs.  That way, if my laptop crashes, I can quickly get back to where I was with all of those open windows.  Now, I'm just trying to figure out if there's a better way to do this!

Here's what my URL list looks like right now:

http://www.tpc.org/tpch/results/tpch_perf_results.asp:  Benchmarking has become one of my passions these days.

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/compare/benchmarks.mspx:  This is Microsoft's take on SQL Server benchmarking.

http://www.kbalertz.com/Feedback_906773.aspx:  I only recently learned that there's a website dedicated to telling you about Microsoft Knowledge Base alerts.  Yippee!

http://www.mssqltracer.com/:  An interesting little tool that makes SQL Profiler traces easier to manage.

http://channel9.msdn.com/:  I love to see what the real human beings at Microsoft are up to.

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/letter.mspx:  Paul Flessner's recent email to the SQL Server community about the future of SQL Server in a post-relational world.

http://www.informit.com/guides/content.asp?g=sqlserver&seqNum=202&rl=1:  An article InformIT's about SQL Server performance.

http://www.infoworld.com/article/06/04/13/77021_16FEusergoofs_1.html:  What can I say?  I just like stupid user tricks!

http://www.menshealth.com/cda/topicpage.do?site=MensHealth&channel=guy.wisdom&category=family.guy: I like Men's Health magazine in general and their parenting section for men is pretty good reading too.

    http://www.allprodad.com: my favorite parenting website

    http://zebra-man.blogspot.com:  my personal blog

And finally, I have a series of articles about SQL Server performance found on the SearchSQLServer website:

So what sort of URLs are on your must read list?  Do you find yourself coming back again and again?

Let me know!  Many thanks,

-Kevin
