Microtest has opened Chinese headquarters in Beijing with satellite support in Shanghai. To complement the office openings, Microtest released a fully localized Chinese version of MICROSCANNER, its all-purpose, pocket-size cable test tool designed to check cable integrity.“We are committed to increasing our presence in the Asian markets, and this office provides us a way to continue to gain market share in the region,” says Robert Vandevoort, Microtest International marketing director. “We are now shipping hundreds of MICROSCANNERs to China. Its entry-level price and complete localization in simple Chinese assures its popularity across China.”Sales, service, and marketing personnel will manage the Chinese International Service Center, with the Beijing office’s central location facilitating quarterly technology seminars throughout the country.Microtest reports that industry analysts expect the growth rate in China’s premise-structured wiring market to be two to three times that of North America and Europe over the next three years.
