Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3 is the latest and most comprehensive update to SQL Server 2000. This WebCast will feature the changes throughout the product that you must know about, including the addition of Watson to SQL Server.

This is a Level 200 session that was recorded December 10, 2002 and presented by Brian Baughman, Michiel Wories, Andrew Cencini, Richard Tkachuk and Ramesh Singh. Brian Baughman is the Lead Tester with the SQL Server Setup team that owns SQL Server 2000 SP3 and other Yukon features. He has been in charge of the overall test case design, the automation of setup test suites, and the security testing of the service pack setup. Michiel Wories joined Microsoft about 1½ years ago in the role of Senior Program Manager for Microsoft SQL Server and is responsible for the SQL Management Object Models, such as SQL-DMO. Before he joined Microsoft, he had spent 13 years at Baan Development (Netherlands) where he was responsible for the architecture of the Baan Tools, in his capacity of Principal Architect. Michiel has more than 15 years of industry experience, covering various large-scale UNIX and Windows development projects. Andrew Cencini is a Program Manager at Microsoft in the SQL Server Engine group. Andrew is responsible for the full text search functionality provided as part of SQL Server, and he has written and collaborated on a number of papers and articles on that feature. Richard Tkachuk is a Lead Program Manager on the Analysis Services team at Microsoft. He has been working with business intelligence solutions for over 10 years — the last several years with Microsoft. His current focus includes security, analytics, and working with partners to integrate business intelligence into their applications. Ramesh Singh has been testing SQL Server for more than 5 years and he has over 10 years of experience testing database products. He has worked with software vendors such as PeopleSoft, J. D. Edwards, and others, helping them get top-notch performance from SQL Server. He has diverse experience with various test technologies used by the SQL Release Services Test teams.
