When you use BDD (Solutions Accelerator for Business Desktop Deployment) with SMS SP2, the ZTI (Zero Touch Installation) process may hang during the State Restore phase and may prompt you with:

Security Warning The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?

If you press Run, the process should continue to completion.

NOTE: The process appears to hang because the prompt may be hidden.

This behavior will occur if you use the FQDN in the SMS hierarchy and the computer name of the server in the UDShare and SLShare parameters of the CustomSettings.ini file.

To fix this behavior, modify the ZeroTouchInstallation.vbs:

1.

In the ZeroTouchInstallation.vbs script file, locate the following lines.

2.

Add "cmd /c" to the command line on line 3814, as in the following example.

3.

Save and then close the script file.
