Struggling PC maker Gateway has decided to go back to basics and concentrate on PCs again.

Struggling PC maker Gateway tried to merge into a consumer-electronics giant. But with the recent shuttering of its retail stores, the company has decided to go back to basics and concentrate on PCs again. Fear not, however; Gateway isn't completely abandoning its more popular products. In addition to selling PCs, the company will continue to sell peripherals and devices that complement PCs, as well as digital TVs. All in all, Gateway's story is a tragedy, and we'd like to see the company reverse its fortunes and shine once more. However, how Gateway can undo the damage it's done to its brand is unclear
