JSI Tip 8542. How can a batch script refresh the desktop or environment?

Download and unzip Refresh.zip.

If your script copies a shortcut to a user's desktop, or makes any environmental change, Refresh.exe can refresh the desktop, or notify applications to refresh their environment.

When you type refresh /?, you receive:
