To make the Windows XP desktop look like Windows 2000, Windows NT 40, Windows 9x, and Windows Millennium:

1. Control Panel / Appearance and Themes / Display or right-click an empty area of the desktop and press Properties.

2. Select the Themes tab.

3. Select Windows Classic in the Theme drop-down. This will display a Sample.

4. Press Apply and OK.

To change the Windows XP Start menu to the classic Start menu:

1. Control Panel / Appearance and Themes.

2. Press Taskbar and Start Menu.

3. Select the Start Menu tab.

4. Select Classic Start menu and press Apply.

5. Press OK.
