A. You can use TWEAKUI and on the "Desktop" tab unselect "Network Neighborhood". This can also be done using the registry:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit)

  2. Move to the HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer

  3. From the Edit menu select New - DWORD value.

  4. Enter a name of NoNetHood and press Enter

  5. Double click the new value and set to 1. Click OK

  6. Close the registry editor

  7. Log off and log on and Network Neighborhood will be hidden
