How can I configure Control Panel to cascade on the Start menu in Windows 2000?

A. This is normally done by selecting 'Taskbar & Start Menu...'from the Settings menu of the Start button, select the 'Start Menu Options' andcheck the 'Expand Control Panel' option.

You can also accomplish this by directly editing the registry:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)

  2. Move toHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced

  3. From the Edit menu select New - String value and enter a name ofCascadeControlPanel (if it does not exist)

  4. Double click the new value and set to YES

  5. Close the registry editor

  6. Logoff and then logon
