Microsoft Corporation requested that Caldera Incorporated be cited forcontempt of court on Tuesday, saying that the software company sharedconfidential information that was covered by a protective order. Caldera,which own DR-DOS, an MS-DOS clone, sued Microsoft for illegally using its Windows monopoly to force DR-DOS out of the market; it was awarded theright to view the source code to Windows 95 and receive other sensitive documents from Microsoft. This most recent court drama involves an alleged incident where Microsoft employees were told to destroy email that could have been used as evidence in the case.
