I want to exclude certain files on my server from being backed up. They aren't important and simply slow the backup process. How can I change the exclude status of certain files in NTBackup for Windows NT 4.0 and later?

Excluding specific files in an NTBackup session is easy. Open the NTBackup application and go to Tools, Options, Exclude Files. To exclude a specific file, you simply enter the filename. To exclude a type of file, you can designate a path that ends with * file name extension (e.g., *.doc). To exclude backing up a folder and subfolders, you would enter the path to the folder, then add the /s switch to also exclude any subfolders in the backup.
