Q: Does the Azure Site Recovery agent compress data when it's sent to Azure?
A: No. Azure Site Recovery doesn't compress data. However, it's efficient and only transfers populated data on the disk; for example, if there were a 70GB VHD file with only 20GB of data, then only 20GB would be sent to Azure.
