SmartBear Software has introduced the first commercially available version of its open-source Web services load-testing tool, loadUI Pro. In addition, the company has upgraded its open-source testing solution, soapUI 4.5. These two products have been integrated to provide users with a toolset that improves the quality of load testing for Web services and APIs.

loadUI Pro provides users with a load-testing environment for enterprises that generates scalable and high-volume load from several local and remote computers. The solution now includes server monitoring so that users can assess database performance and utilization, monitor RAM usage, and identify causes of bottlenecks in the server stack.

soapUI 4.5 also includes new features to improve the overall quality of testing projects. The solution includes new debugging capabilities that help users streamline test creation and simplify the test-validation process. In addition, soapUI 4.5 includes a new Test on Demand feature that lets users run tests from two external locations in SmartBear's monitoring cloud.
