What is the NETMON agent?

A. In some situations you may want to monitor traffic for a certainmachine but are unable to actually use that machine to perform the networkmonitor (maybe because of physical location).

The Network Monitor agent is installed on the machine whose traffic you wishto monitor and then you can "connect" to it from a machine runningthe Network Monitor application and capture its traffic.

The Network Monitor agent runs as a service and needs to be started on themachine whose traffic you wish to capture.
