Q. What is the difference between CPS Standard and CPS Premium?

A. Cloud Platform System (CPS) provides a complete on-premises cloud solution consisting of servers, networking, storage, software and best practices deployment and configuration. This is available in two versions.

CPS Premium is a solution built by Dell but delivered and fully supported by Microsoft in rack increments. This means if you have any kind of problem you call Microsoft who will own the resolution from start to finish without ever being passed off to other vendors to continue support cases. Consider this a full white glove service.

CPS Standard by contrast is very similar to the previous private cloud fast track and is aimed at smaller workloads, smaller sets of hardware and will be available from multiple vendors. The solution is based on the same software and architecture but supplied by and supported by the vendor with Microsoft acting as a second-level support when necessary.
