Q. Does Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) have an updated Sysprep tool?

A. XP SP2 introduces an updated version of Sysprep. The updated Sysprep tool is in the deploy.cab file in XP SP2's supporttools folder, or you can download the tool at Microsoft's Web site. When you open the downloaded deploy.cab file (e.g., by using WinZip), you'll see the updated sysprep.exe and setupcl.exe files, which are required for Sysprep operation
