A. New to Windows XP is the view of other people's documents folders in Windows Explorer when you view the root of My Computer under the "Other Files Stored on This Computer" section. To remove this section, perform the following steps:

  1. Start regedit.exe.

  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer
    MyComputerNameSpaceDelegateFolders.

  3. Delete the subkey {59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee}.

  4. Close regedit.

  5. Restart Explorer.

Note that this change affects all of the machine's users because you modify this setting at a machine, not user, level.
