How can I configure the amount of bandwidth that Windows reserves for Quality of Service (QoS)?

A. QoS provides a guaranteed level of service for media-rich applications and some mission-critical applications. By default, Windows reserves only 20 percent of the connection bandwidth for QoS. To adjust this setting in the registry, perform the following steps:
Start a registry editor (e.g., regedit.exe).
Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesPSchedParametersAdapters\{} registry subkey.
From the Edit menu, select New, DWORD Value.
Enter the name NonBestEffortLimit, then press Enter.
Double-click the new value, set it to the new level (e.g., 50 in decimal base), then click OK.
Restart the computer for the change to take effect.
