Resource - Microsoft Azure Security Information Portal

Last week I introduced you to the extensive Microsoft Azure services portal where you can learn about all of the products and services that are offered through Microsoft's cloud service.

This week I have come across another great Microsoft Azure portal that provides extensive information about security relating to Microsoft's cloud services offered through Azure and I wanted to make sure you know about it as well.

Whether you are already using some of the Azure services or are considering a move to the cloud this will be a great source of information for you and your company.

"Microsoft understands that security is an critical requirement for placing your software and services into the cloud. Microsoft Azure provides you a secure infrastructure on which you can build your cloud solutions. Together with Azure partners, we provide you a secure infrastructure that supports organizations that have the most demanding security requirements. In addition, we provide you wide range of controls that you can configure to enhance security over and above the cloud-grade security we enable on the Azure platform itself. You can learn about these controls here on the Azure security information site."

The Microsoft Azure Security Information site is broken down into several areas and each of these have more information under these subject areas:

  • Get Started

  • Resources

  • Network security

  • Storage security

  • Virtual machine security

  • Security management and monitoring

  • Identity management

  • PaaS services

  • Vertical industries

  • Security architecture

Other product and features relating to Azure security will also be found in these key subjects:

Has your company made the move to any Azure based cloud services from Microsoft so far?

But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.

My first website – AnotherWin95.com – came online in 1995. Back then I used GeoCities Web Hosting for it and WindowsObserver.com is the result of the work I have done on that site since 1995.

In January 2010 my community contributions were recognized by Microsoft when I received my first Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for the Windows Operating System. Since then I have been renewed as a Microsoft MVP each subsequent year since that initial award. I am also a member of the inaugural group of Windows Insider MVPs which began in 2016.

I previously hosted the Observed Tech PODCAST for 10 years and 317 episodes and now host a new podcast called Faith, Tech, and Space.

I began contributing to Penton Technology websites in January 2015 and in April 2017 I was hired as the Senior Content Producer for Penton Technology which is now Informa Tech. In that role, I contribute to ITPro Today and cover operating systems, enterprise technology, and productivity.
