Microsoft Azure Intelligent System Brings Internet of Things Trend to Enterprise

Microsoft is providing a preview of its new cloud service, Microsoft Azure Intelligent Systems Service, that lets users capture and manage machine-generated data from sensors and devices. The announcement was made by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at a customer event on April 15.

The new service was developed by Microsoft to help enterprises take advantage of the increasingly popular Internet of Things trend, where applications and software can essentially be embedded into various objects, such as cars, appliances, and more. Interestingly, this new service not only has the ability manage and run Windows OSs, but also includes support for running different OSs, too.

This announcement is just one piece of news that demonstrated how Microsoft hopes to bring a data culture to every organization, team, and individual.
