Microsoft Announces General Availability of AMQP 1.0 in Windows Azure Service Bus
Microsoft is excited to announce the release of Advanced Message Queuing Protocol for Windows Azure Service Bus.

For the past 5 years or so, Microsoft has been working with companies such as Red Hat and VMware, and enterprises such as JPMorgan Chase to develop an Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) standard. That standard was announced in October 2012, but since, Microsoft has been working on AMQP support in Windows Azure Service Bus.
