Windows 8.1 SkyDrive Account Configuration

A: In the Windows 8 SkyDrive Modern application, it's possible to configure which Microsoft Account (MSA) is used to connect to SkyDrive. However, this is different in Windows 8.1.

SkyDrive is a built-in, core part of Windows 8.1 for both the synchronization of content and the Modern SkyDrive application. It's no longer possible to select an account to be used for SkyDrive.

Iinstead, Windows 8.1 will use the Microsoft Account you're logged in to on the Windows 8.1 machine  or the Microsoft Account linked to the local/domain account you are logged in with.
