Windows 10 November Update: Find My Device
A new feature in the November update for Windows 10 brings the mobile feature of device locating to PCs.
November 17, 2015
With the Windows 10 November update firmly in consumer hands, we can now identify new features delivered in the OS’s first major upgrade. Some are clearly evident, but some are seemingly tucked away.
One of those new features is the ability to locate your PC (or device) by its last location. Using your Microsoft account and when enabled, the device will periodically send current location information to the Cloud for storage. If you’ve lost your device, or it was stolen, the information contained in the Cloud can be used to tell where it last reported location.
To enable this feature…
Open Settings and go to Update & Security.
Now, go to Find my Device and tap or click the Change button to turn it on (or off).
