Windows 10 November Update: Auto-adjust Time Zone

With the Windows 10 November update firmly in consumer hands, we can now identify new features delivered in the OS’s first major upgrade. Some are clearly evident, but some are seemingly tucked away.

One of those new features is borrowed from smartphones and gives Windows 10 PCs the ability to auto-adjust the time zone when traveling. Just like taking your smartphone out of Airplane mode at the end of a flight and having the time zone change automatically, this same operation can now happen on other Windows 10 devices.

To find it…

  1. Go to Settings > Time & language.

  1. Locate the Set time zone automatically.

Incidentally, the Auto-adjust time zone option is configured as the default option after the Windows 10 November upgrade.
