Windows 10 Mobile Update History Page Christened
A new update history page for Windows 10 Mobile is available.

Yesterday, Microsoft unveiled a much requested resource for Windows 10 that seeks to answer the questions raised by customers every time an update was released: “What’s in it?”
It seems Microsoft hadn’t planned on customers being so adamant about wanting to know what they were being force fed. It took the company almost 6 months, but the Windows 10 Update History Page is now live.
Despite stories of its demise, Windows 10 Mobile is a very real thing. I’ve surmised that Windows Mobile (the OS) will still exist long after Windows “Phone” (the hardware) is dead. I’ll attempt to explain that in a future commentary.
Those that love Windows Phone, truly love Windows Phone. Recent poll results here on Supersite show that the majority of participants will use Windows Phone “until they pry it out of their cold, dead hands.” I embellished that a bit, but the meaning is clear – those that use Windows Phone feel that it’s the best mobile OS out there. The majority of these have come from other platforms like Android and iOS and are basing their enthusiasm on comparisons.
Microsoft has yet to deliver a public version of Windows 10 Mobile, but rumors suggest that it may come sometime this month. If it’s any indication that these rumors hold water, Microsoft released a Windows 10 Mobile Update History page to match the one for Windows 10 for PC/Tablets.
Obviously there’s nothing there yet, even though versions of Windows 10 Mobile have been running on Lumia 950 and 950XL hardware since late last year. The OS has been updated a few times, primarily to fix glaring battery consumption issues and other miscellaneous quirks. It’s actually a bit comforting to see Microsoft take its time with the mobile version of Windows 10. The company has seemed to take a “release it now, we’ll fix it later” approach to both Windows 10 for PCs and its latest Surface hardware. So, by the time Windows 10 Mobile does actually release, maybe we’ll see an OS that is full polished and ready for primetime.
