Windows 10 Mobile Build 10586.107 Available for Windows 10 Lumia Hardware

Last week Microsoft, over the course of 24 hours, released Windows 10 Mobile Build 10586.107 to Windows Insiders in both the Fast and Slow testing rings.

The quick release to Slow Ring Insiders meant that the build was stable based on testing and feedback and therefore it was ready for those users who prefer the more stable builds.

In the last seven days that build has been on Insider devices and apparently the telemetry, continued testing and feedback from users has shown the build is ready for a general release.

Over the last 24 hours Windows 10 Mobile users on the latest Windows 10 Mobile hardware have been receiving build 10586.107 on their Lumia 950, 950 XL and 550 devices that are not enrolled in the Windows Insider program.

In fact our Ring Master, Gabe Aul, confirmed this via Twitter in reply to a user who saw the update on their phone:

Missing from that list of devices is the new Lumia 650 which has just started shipping this week in Europe.

I imagine Microsoft will need to provision that handset and their servers so that it can get this latest production build of Windows 10 Mobile since there is no way the device could have shipped with build 10586.107 pre-installed.

Still unknown is when eligible Windows Phone 8.1 handsets will receive the production build of Windows 10 Mobile although Microsoft Mexico did state in a Facebook post that it was expected on 29 February 2016 however, that social media entry has since been removed.

For now we are still in wait and see mode with the delayed mobile operating system that was originally scheduled for release last fall.

But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.
