Windows 10 Creators Update Gets Patched to Build 15063.11 in Fast and Slow Rings

If you have been keeping track over the last month or so it has been a whirlwind of builds, cumulative updates, and Windows Store app updates as the Windows 10 Creators Update has been in the final stages of development and preparation for public availability next month.

Today, with the release of KB4016250 to both Fast and Slow Ring Windows Insiders, the Creators Update build has been bumped up to 150063.11 and puts the finish line just a few inches away from our hands.

As we learned yesterday from Microsoft they plan to begin the slow and methodical roll out of this third major feature update for Windows 10 on the 11th of April. However, next week on the 5th of April, advanced users will be able to install the Creators Update six days before it begins using the Windows Update Assistant.

Of course, we will be here ready to show you exactly how that is done on the 5th of April once the Update Assistant gets updated for Creators Update.

While Build 15063.11 is likely the final build of what will be the Creators Update on 11 April 2017 it is still pre-release software. If something was to crop up as users install this update starting on the 5th of April, Microsoft could still release an additional cumulative update before the 11th to address any issues. That in turn would adjust this final build number just slightly if it was to happen. Once the 11th comes and goes that means the Creators Update will then begin receiving its regular Windows as a Service updates beginning on May 9th for that following month's Patch Tuesday.

It has only taken 7 months, 21 days, and 28 PC builds to reach this point and the finish line is just five days away - at least for early adopters.
