Windows 10 Creators Update Build 15048 Slow Ring ISOs Now Available for Download

Yesterday, along with the release of what could be the final build leading up to the Windows 10 Creators Update, the Windows Insider Team at Microsoft also made the latest slow ring build available to Windows Insiders for download.

Windows 10 Creators Update Build 15058 was pushed to Slow Ring Windows Insiders last week on the 8th of March through Windows Update and now it is available for download using either the Media Creation Tool (MCT) or in an ISO formatted file.

The MCT can create installation media itself or you can use the ISO downloads to create your own. Either way works to allow you to upgrade an existing Windows 10 system to this latest slow ring build or perform a clean install of the operating system.

There has been a lot of work that has gone into the new Out Of Box Experience (OOBE) that will be part of the Creators Update and a clean install of Build 15048 will show you that entire process. You will discover that Cortana now has a role in the OOBE to assist users through voice prompts and confirmations during setup. The goal of these changes were to make the setup process more accessible to users who might not be able to use the normal OOBE input methods of mouse and keyboard from past versions of Windows 10.

I did this video earlier today to show you the new OOBE in the latest build of the Creators Update, 15058, and it will give you a good idea of what to expect when you try it with 15048 and subsequent builds.

Keep an eye out for the new expanded privacy settings questions that are now in the OOBE for the Creators Update.
