Windows 10 Build 10586.338 Cumulative Update Being Tested for June Patch Tuesday

Over the last 24 hours or so Microsoft has made a couple of moves relating to the availability of Windows 10 builds for testers on mobile, desktop and tablet devices.

On Windows 10 Desktop and Mobile devices there was a new build pushed out to the Release Preview Ring, Build 10586.338, that appears to be the June Cumulative Update for the Current Branch release of Windows 10.

We are a little less than two weeks away from the security related Patch Tuesday in June, which is normally the second Tuesday of the month, and the same day that past Cumulative Updates have been released for Windows 10 Current Branch. I suspect this build has been pushed out to testers in order to gather telemetry and feedback on it before its public release.

Windows 10 Mobile Build 14342.1004 has been made available for eligible Redstone testers in the Slow Ring now according to Gabe Aul. This means Build 14342.1004 is the latest mobile build for Windows Insiders on both the Fast and Slow Rings. This build was also the one that remedied the heavy battery drain issue for many users when it was in the Fast Ring however, I have tracked some comments on social media that indicate there is still some battery drain happening on users handsets.

There was an expectation that a new mobile build would be pushed out to Fast Ring Insiders yesterday because of a tweet sent by a Windows engineer over the weekend but that did not happen and the engineer apologized for sharing the wrong data. However, we are due to get a new Fast Ring build on the mobile side and it would make sense to see Build 14352 which was released for PCs and tablets last week.

If you are one of those testers who love to install or upgrade Windows 10 testing builds from an ISO then you can now download Build 14342 that is the PC and tablet designated build for the Slow Ring.

If you want to stay up to speed on the latest Windows 10 Redstone testing builds as they are released and updated be sure to bookmark our PC - Windows 10 Insider Preview Build Tracker and our Mobile - Windows 10 Insider Preview Build Tracker.

But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.
