What are Microsoft's Top Support Issues for Windows 10?

Windows 10 is just a few weeks away from reaching its 10 month anniversary since it was released in July 2015.

In that period of time there have been plenty of how-to articles that relate to using and dealing with Windows 10 but there is no denying that there have also been a lot of challenges in running the new operating system.

Some of the first people that get a chance to address these issues are Microsoft Support staff and over on the Top Solutions from Microsoft Support blog a recent article has updated the top concerns for users in 10 different categories.

Some of the issues listed make sense and deal with installing or upgrading to Windows 10 while others are related to post install issues such as a blank Start Menu, using Cortana and laying out the Start Menu.

I am going to list the categories here and some of the support issues that are listed focusing on what are common consumer/prosumer related challenges but to see everything just visit the article.

Top Support Solutions for Windows 10

Solutions related to the installation or upgrade to Windows 10 with free upgrade offer

Solutions related to inability to activate Windows

Solutions related to installing Windows updates or hotfixes

Solutions related to common setup, installation, and deployment issues

Solutions related to configuring or managing the Start Menu or the Desktop Shell

Solutions related to Wireless networking and 802.1X authentication

Like I said earlier, there are other categories listed in the main article that focus on the IT Pro side of using/deploying Windows 10 but all of the above are targeted towards end users.

Do you have a popular solution that is not listed above? Let us know about it in the comments below.

But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.

My first website – AnotherWin95.com – came online in 1995. Back then I used GeoCities Web Hosting for it and WindowsObserver.com is the result of the work I have done on that site since 1995.

In January 2010 my community contributions were recognized by Microsoft when I received my first Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for the Windows Operating System. Since then I have been renewed as a Microsoft MVP each subsequent year since that initial award. I am also a member of the inaugural group of Windows Insider MVPs which began in 2016.

I previously hosted the Observed Tech PODCAST for 10 years and 317 episodes and now host a new podcast called Faith, Tech, and Space.

I began contributing to Penton Technology websites in January 2015 and in April 2017 I was hired as the Senior Content Producer for Penton Technology which is now Informa Tech. In that role, I contribute to ITPro Today and cover operating systems, enterprise technology, and productivity.
