Want the Ability to Turn Off GPS Power Saver in the Microsoft Band Explore Tile? There’s a UserVoice for That

Microsoft released the Explore Tile this month, allowing Microsoft Band owners to finally record hikes and walks using a function specifically designed for those activities.

Because hiking and walking aren’t usually not as physically demanding as running, these activities can take much longer to complete. So, Microsoft enabled GPS Power Saver in the new Explore tile without a way to turn it off. GPS Power Saver was introduced a couple months back and while it does extend battery life, it can make for very inaccurate results in distance and map coverage.

I’ve heard from many Band owners who would love to be able to turn off GPS Power Saver mode to produce better, more accurate stats. They’d be happy to trade battery for accuracy.

For those that would be happy to trade battery for accuracy, a UserVoice thread has kicked-off.
